Perspective

Sometimes in life we have situations that may confound us, where we feel lost, overwhelmed or just stressed. One of the key components of a magical mindset is to be able to change your perspective. Meditating and taking some time out for Prayer, ritual or spellwork can help us to change our perspective. Just like taking a photo, as you can see above an up close shot of Pikes Peak shows us impending snow and a peak that is covered in clouds. However, if we zoom out…

We see something we missed … a beautiful landscape with the Moon looking over the Peak. Yes there may be clouds but there is also the warm glow of the rising sun and the beautiful white light of moon creating a breathtaking picture.

Our lives can be like this, we may see a messy living room that needs to be cleaned, it seems like an impossible task and a never ending battle. However, if you look closer you will see a room where a family spends time, plays and hopefully shares love and laughter. This is a room that shows the affects of a life full of vitality and life. This room holds so much more energy than the museum/ magazine perfect room where things can’t be moved and nothing is out of place.

Whenever you are struggling, try to take a deep breath and look at your life or whatever is bothering you from another perspective. Ask yourself, how someone else might assess the situation, or how someone else might be feeling (especially if your situation involves other people). By doing so you may find a solution to a problem, or see something that you hadn’t before.

A change in perspective is always a good way to feel differently about something. I urge you dear reader to try this and see what happens!
