Gratitude

Sometimes we have very difficult days, work life may be stressful, home life may be demanding or there may be other issues arising that make life difficult for the moment. One of the most precious magical techniques that I have come to use is that of Gratitude. If you can find something that you are thankful for, no matter how small, it can help to change your mood and it can also open up the flow of energy in your life to be able to receive. Being receptive is one of the biggest secrets in magic. In order to let energy flow into our life, and to let the Universe send fill a need, we have to be willing to recieve what is offered.

Even on difficult days we can find something to be grateful for, and take a moment to appreciate it, just as I did when I stopped and snapped this picture of the Peak that has watched over the majority of my life.

Please take a moment, especially, if you are having a difficult day, and find something that you are grateful for. Pause and enjoy it, and if you like share your gratitude here.

  1. I haven’t done a gratitude journal yet, but just spending a few moments thinking of something you’re grateful for is a powerful practice. It is even more powerful to find something about yourself to be grateful for.
